On the water 1pm after setting camp in Stanton. Point at Knowles left side. We caught 2 nice walleye 4 small mouth. Really fast. Got a decent striper. Back to camp pretty fast to make fish tacos. Windy but manageable. Be back there at it 1st light.

Home in GJ. Got a nice cat while catching smallmouth. 2nd time at Powell and I'm hooked. Caught largemouth, smallmouth, walleye, bluegill, channel cat, and striper. 6 species in 2 days. What a great fishery. Thanks to everyone on here helping get info.

Nice!!! Where did you fish on the North end? Did you do any beach camping?
Stanton Primitive camping. About 65 yards from lake. Able to camp with the truck and my 3 labradors, and moor the boat offshore about 15 feet. Girlfriend was comfortable and had a blast. Caught quite a few small mouth on her own with very little coaching. Fished Knowles but picked up the striper trolling a wall just before Knowles. Mostly targeted the small mouth because they were eager and alot of fun.
