May 31, 2018 - Stripers at Last Chance

E-mail Print PDF
We were fishing for SMB and walleye against the vertical wall at the SE point of Last Chance just in from the main channel when the graph lit up like  Christmas. We immediately started chumming and switched over to jig heads with bait and didn't have to wait long to start loading the boat with 2-3# stripers. Fish were in 30-50 of water. We caught all the fish we could handle until dark and then went back the next day. The fishing was still good but not as active as it had been towards the previous evening, probably to be expected since it was late morning/mid day.  Weather was great Sunday and Monday and the moon was amazing (glad to have skipped Friday and Saturday. )
Thanks again for all the work you do and the great fishing advice.
