Wayne, My Son and I fished mostly Good Hope last week and ended in Forgotten Canyon on Saturday Morning. Boils were sporadic at best in Good Hope all week but the fish that We did find were very willing to hit top waters as well as smaller swim baits when they went down. The best boils We found were in the main channel a couple miles above Knowles canyon on Friday in the middle of the day with 3-4 schools working one are for about an hour. Also Saturday morning in Forgotten was exceptional with a ton of fish working the top although the fish were not real well organized. We did real well on fish working right against the cliff walls. We even say catfish working the shad over against the walls. We found fish from the floating bathroom all the way back from about 7:30-9:00 non stop and they were still going when we had to leave to get the houseboat back to Bullfrog. The entire week was good for Small Mouth with ned rigs and drop shot working best for us. Very few small mouths would hit a top water which was interesting as we usually do very well on them early in the morning. We caught a few nice LM as well and my 10 year old Grand daughter landed a 5 lb Cat off the house boat. Over all the fishing was very good, not nonstop, but always good enough to make us smile. The stripers were as healthy as I've seen them in many years.
