Fishing near the rincon in the beginning was a little slow with just a few striper boils, more like slurps. The weather was beautiful but the moon was bright at night and we were wondering if the fish aren't feeding all night long.
Well my partner and I have been fishing for the elusive tag walleyes last weekend we caught about 20 walleye in the northern end of the lake. We started near the Rincon early and we're only able to find stripers and green Bass. The water temperature in the southern part was around 82 degrees after heading north to Good Hope the water temperature was cooler around 78. It had more of an off-color and fishing in 20 to 30 feet of tinted water produced some good walleye fishing for the remainder of the day. We can't wait to get back and try again. The weeks prior to July 1st produced even better walleye fishing (see the attached pictures). We have the best luck trolling large crankbait behind bottom bouncers about one and a quarter ounces.

Oh and by the way on Monday morning the striper boils were insane, thousands of fish but still a little timid of the boat. Thanks for being the go-to place at Lake Powell hope to see you soon
